What is a DUI Administrative hearing?

  The administrative hearing is conducted by a Hearing Officer from the Department of Licensing. The hearing is tape-recorded. The Hearing Officer will consider the facts and the law and will make a written decision. The decision usually takes 2- 4 weeks depending on the Hearing Officer. In most cases, your license suspension will be stayed (put on hold) pending the outcome of the hearing. The written decision will give an effective date your license will be suspended. Normally 3 - 5 days after you receive it.
